Moving is no small task. Especially when you're an illustration studio with stacks of sketches, design gear, and even a pink parrot to pack! When our friends at Patwerk moved a while back, they asked us to create a fun 3D animation to announce it. So, we turned them into simple, recognizable characters and brought their moving adventure to life with this fun looping animation.
The Process
We always enjoy the challenge of translating a simple 2D style into 3D while preserving its charm and distinct visual identity. For this animation, we opted for an isometric perspective, which reinforced the playful, stylized aesthetic we were aiming for. To make the scene feel alive, we created a seamlessly looping background, ensuring a continuous, engaging motion perfect for social media.
Beyond that, we added small, fun details inspired by the studio itself, every choice was made to keep the animation visually simple yet rich with personality.
